About Red Ribbon Club
- Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by Government of India in schools and colleges through which student will spread awareness over HIV/AIDS.
- It motivates and guides the student community to extend their help towards developing healthy lifestyle and donating blood to all the needy by promoting all voluntary blood donation.
- It also emphasises on prevention of drug abuse and drunken driving.
- The Red Ribbon Club has been established in Dayanand College, Hisar in the year 2018 under National AIDS Control Program (NACP).
Objectives
- To create and spread awareness on adolescence health.
- To create awareness on HIV/AIDS and to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against PLWHAs.
- To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators.
- To promote voluntary blood donation amongst youth.
