Chemistry
The Chemistry Department of Dayanand College, Hisar came into existence in 1950. Sh. Lal Chand Kaura was the founder Head of the department. The standard that we have been able to maintain is an earnest effort of our much esteemed senior colleagues- Sh. Ishwar Chander, Sh. S.K. Anand, Dr. O.P. khurana, Dr. N. Kumar, Dr. R.K. Tomar, Dr. Y.P. Sehgal Dr. Renu Vasistha, Mr. S. P. Goyal, Mrs. Vandana Duggal and Mr. M.L. Garg. The department has well-qualified and dedicated faculty members. The total faculty strength of the department is 12, with 2 Associate Professors and 10 Assistant Professors. The department offers both Postgraduate and Undergraduate programmes.

Objectives
The Chemistry Department endeavours to supplement classroom teaching with invited lectures, workshops, seminars by eminent speakers.
The Chemistry department promotes professional development by providing opportunities for faculty/staff to attend conferences and workshops, offers training and mentorship to graduate and postgraduate students.
