Political Science
Political science as an activity is as old as human civilization. In the modern age the subject of
Political Science has become a dominant factor of both public and private lives. Political science is an
independent subject of Social Sciences.In modern States and in developing countries the functions and
the role of Political Science is very important. It is the basis of government, an instrument of change
in the society, plays a vital role in lives of the people and it is an instrument for executing laws,
policies, programs of the nation.
History
The Department of Political Science was established as a separate Department from the Academic
Session 1950. The Department offers Political science as a subject of study in courses of BA General
in combination with subjects like Geography, History, Mathematics, and Sanskrit among others.
