About the Department
“Everybody in this country should learn how to program a computer because it teaches you how to think.”
The department of computer science & applications is pioneer in academic excellence for computer education at under graduate level. Set up on 1st July 1995, under the guidance of Dr. D.K.Kaushik, department aims at providing spirit of innovative and technical competence among the students. The main objective of department is to prepare students for I.T industry, educational institutions and research organizations.
The department is equipped with five computer labs. The laboratories comprise 85 computers equipped with original software like Windows, MS Office, Visual Studio and Windows for server etc. The department also has seven laser printers.
One of the department’s attractive aspects is the direction and collaboration of highly qualified academic staff, which inspires students to spread their wings to reach higher than one‘s aspirations in order to end up serving the country. Students who have graduated from this department are positioned in the renowned IT sectors as a result of their rigorous instruction and awareness of the state-skilled courses offered.
