History
Dayanand college Hisar established on 1st June 1950 and its affiliation take place with Punjab University Chandigarh. From the beginning department of History is working on. Syllabus and paper pattern changes as per the changes in university. In 1972 College affiliated with Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra and in 2017-18 affiliated with Guru Jambheshwar University of science and technology Hisar.
Renowned Scholar of History Dr. P.N. Kaul was the HOD in beginning era after that Pro. Suresh Talwar Sh. H.S. Pasricha, Sh. B.L. Manchanda and Dr. Joginder Singh give their valuable services in their period.
Presently Dr. Mahender Singh (HOD) Dr. Suruchi Shama and Sh. Mahender Singh are serving in the department.
Department offers History as a optional subject in B.A. General Degree course to the students. It is three years degree program divided in six semesters.
