Mathematics
The department of mathematics is one of the oldest and biggest department of the college. It was established in 1950. The department has played an important role in the growth of the college especially in the science stream. The department is known for its high standards and strong commitment in teaching. Its rich academic tradition has always attracted many talented students who have made important contribution to the society
Courses run by the Department
Department of Mathematics is engaged in teaching the students of three-year degree course of Bachelor of Science i.e. Non-Medical, Electronics and Computer Science, Bachelor of Arts, BCom., BCA and BBA. The department is also running M.Sc. two-year degree course affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra since 2008 and GJUS&T, Hisar(2017 onwards).The Department is also running a certificate course Cryptogrphy since 2023-2024. In the undergraduate program about 1500 students and in the post-graduate program 120 students undergo their studies in an academic year.
